Description
Lily ‘Purple Dream’ is a striking ornamental lily prized for its rich purple blooms and elegant, upright form. As the plants mature, they produce tall stems topped with clusters of dramatic flowers that bring vibrant colour and fragrance to summer gardens. These lilies create a beautiful vertical accent in garden beds and borders while attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
Lilies are among the easiest summer bulbs to grow, making them a favourite for both beginner and experienced gardeners. Once planted in spring, the bulbs quickly establish roots and grow into strong, flowering stems that bloom in early to mid-summer. Their bold blooms pair beautifully with perennials, ornamental grasses, and other summer-flowering plants.
Gardeners also love lilies for their value as cut flowers. The long, sturdy stems hold large blooms that last well in arrangements, making them perfect for bringing fresh flowers indoors. Plant several bulbs together for a fuller display or mix them throughout perennial beds for dramatic bursts of colour.
Lilies thrive in sunny locations with well-drained soil and benefit from consistent watering during active growth. With proper care, these bulbs will return each year, growing larger and producing even more blooms.
